Good news - the answer is yes in many cases! Most major insurance plans in Oregon do cover acupuncture for pain and other health issues. And you typically don't need a referral. Most insurance plans start over January 1st --- so if you've been curious about acupuncture, now is a great time to use your allowed visits before they run out.
You can also use your pre-tax Health Savings Account (HSA) for the cost of acupuncture. If you don't have acupuncture benefits or insurance, we offer a prompt-pay price at the time of service.
If you are a new patient or your insurance coverage changes, we will happily verify your benefits so there are no surprises. Give us a call at 503-753-3678 or email hello@turningpointeacu.com for more information.
Another thing to note - all Oregon auto insurance policies have no-fault Personal Injury Protection (PIP) healthcare coverage. What this means is that if you are injured in an auto, bicycle, or pedestrian accident, your auto insurance provides a minimum of one year and $15,000 in no-fault medical coverage - which includes acupuncture.
