Life as Ritual 101

November 2024 - April 2025

We’re so excited to host clinic friends and local ritualists Magidah Crow and Daelynn Moyer for a series of workshops wherein you'll learn all you need to engage with the natural world using a lens of ritual and ceremony.

So many of us have come to feel isolated and separate, yearning for some way to feel connected to the natural world. Do you have a gut feeling that we might be part of something larger than ourselves and don't know how to connect? Perhaps you've considered the use of ritual and ceremony, magic even, as a way to fill this longing, but don't know where to start.

This 6-month series will introduce you to the fundamentals of ritual as you navigate your own journey towards connection with the cycles and spirits of nature. During this class, we'll learn how to use the wheel of the year to inform our daily lives, in order to build your own set of practices or devotions.

This series does not center on any one specific belief system. Instead, we'll focus on elements of ritual that are relatively constant across cultures and are not bound to any one framework. This is an introductory level course; no experience is required. Bring only your intention, attention, and curiosity.

In this class you will:

  • Develop a working vocabulary of ritual

  • Understand how the wheel of the year can influence ritual

  • Develop an understanding of the structure of ritual, including:

    • Containers

    • Invocations, how to 'call in'

    • Altars/Tools

    • Grounding & Powering Up

    • Intentions & Petitions

    • Reciprocity and the Good Exchange

MAGIDAH CROW

Magidah Crow (she/her) is a teacher and healer who facilitates the reconnection of women back to themselves. Exploring ‘traditional’ spiritual paths in her teens, she inevitably returned to the same question: Where’s the rest of it? Magidah discovered Wicca and other pagan systems in her early twenties; for the last 30 years she has engaged the divine feminine through her dancing, bodywork, and personal devotions which include a 10-year apprenticeship in Core Shamanism. Through many years of one-on-one healing sessions, Magidah is continually shown the deep disconnect felt as an inevitable result of living as a woman in our patriarchal, transactional western culture. She is thrilled to facilitate a circle for women to embark on their own empowering journey of reconnection and ‘re-magic-ing’.

DAELYNN MOYER

Daelynn Moyer (she/her) has worked 25 years in the tech sector and grew up in a staunchly agnostic household. These experiences, combined with a life under extractive capitalism had left her feeling profoundly removed from the natural world, and from any sense of connection with spirit. She attended several classes and workshops hoping to learn how she might reestablish that connection, but was continually disappointed by fragmented material and dogmatic instructors. She is thrilled to have compiled enough general knowledge to be able to present a workshop on the basics of ritual, leveraging her experiences as a mentor and coach to provide a cogent and cohesive narrative so that you can begin to develop your own personal practice.
